What are your hours of operation?

We work Monday to Friday from 9:00 to 4:30; after 4:30 we will charge for overtime. Saturday is by appointment only. Please leave a message if you are calling outside those hours. Our Janitorial Service is also available on weekends and after hours by appointment only.

What kinds of cleaning do you do?

Our services include general house cleaning or maid service, spring cleaning, move-in and move-out cleaning, window cleaning, complete new construction cleaning, renovation dust removal, wall washing, nicotine removal, pressure washing, complete janitorial services, and wall to wall carpet and area rug cleaning.

How much does it cost?

We charge by the hour plus a minimum $10 travel fee and GST. Your time starts when your cleaners arrive and stops when they leave. We have a 2 hour minimum charge plus GST.  Please see our rates page for up-to-date rates. Prices are subject to change at any time. Our Janitorial Service is by quote, please call us for details. Our cleaners do not carry any money with them and will not be able to give you any change if you decide to pay by cash.

Why do you charge a travel fee?

The only way to recruit good cleaners and have them stay with us is to pay them a decent wage. That’s why we pay our cleaners by the hour, not commission, or by the job. We also pay our  cleaners travel time and a gas allowance. The travel fee only covers less than half of the true costs between jobs so if we didn’t charge a travel fee we would have to raise our rates.

What areas do you serve?

We serve all areas south of Nanaimo including the Gulf Islands. There is an additional travel charge for going to the following areas: East Sooke, Sooke, and all areas past Sooke; north of Gold Stream Park, North Saanich, Sidney, Willis Point and the Gulf Islands. The extra charge will depend on the time it takes to get to your home, how many people are coming and any associated ferry costs.

How soon can I have my place cleaned?

In many cases we can schedule your cleaning for the next day or at least within 2-3 days depending on the size of the job and where it is situated. Sometimes we can do it the same day; however, to avoid disappointment it is wise to give us at least 1 weeks notice.

Are your employees trained and experienced?

All our employees are uniformed and trained, and have the necessary experience to do the job right.

Are your employees insured, bonded and covered by WCB?

Yes, all our employees are insured, bonded, and covered by liability insurance and WorkSafe BC. Get your clearance letter here. In the unlikely event that something gets broken we or our insurance will repair, replace or buy the article.

How many people do you send?

We usually work in teams of 2 however we will send as many people as necessary to complete the job in a timely fashion.

Do you send the same people each time?

We always try to send the same cleaners that have been to your place; however, due to sickness or attrition, it may become necessary to send new people. This should not be a problem as we train our cleaners to do the job right the first time. We take pride in our cleaners abilities!

Do I need to supply any cleaning solutions for the cleaners?

No, we will bring all the necessary equipment and supplies to do your job properly. However, if you want us to use any special cleaners or polishes you must supply them.

What kind of cleaning products do you use?

We have many different types of cleaners available to us but our number one product of choice is a GREEN product called FrogWash. FrogWash is a safe, affordable, effective, non-toxic phosphate free, multipupose, GREEN cleaner from a homegrown BC company that really cares about our shared environment. This versatile cleaner is biodegradable, hypoallergenic, contains no added colour or scent and is safe enough that you don’t have to wear gloves. Gentle yet strong enough to replace all our previous cleaners. YA! It works by releasing the electrostatic charge that binds the dirt molecules to surfaces. We also have a variety of other products for those one-of-a-kind or difficult cleaning problems.

What kind of equipment do you use?

We use professional quality equipment for all our jobs. Our industrial vacuums are capable of light and heavy duty vacuuming. When vacuuming carpets we use a light duty air driven power-head which works well without running the risk of damaging the carpet fibers. For laminate, hardwood, and all other types of floors we use a specialized floor pad designed for cleaning today’s flooring. Walls are washed with proper wall washing gear and spot-cleaned by hand. Interior windows are cleaned with squeegees and other glass is polished with a clean soft microfiber cloth. Exterior windows are cleaned with purified, deionized water and a brush. We do pressure washing with a 3800 psi pressure washer and a 20 inch surface cleaner. We also have a supply of specialty equipment for those one of a kind or difficult jobs.

What do I have to do to prepare for the cleaners?

You can start by picking-up and organizing any clutter that may be lying around, this will allow the cleaners to focus on the cleaning. You may also want to leave a checklist for the cleaners if you have specific areas that you want them to focus on.

Do I have to be home while the cleaners are working?

You can stay or leave, whatever suites your agenda. If you are on a regular schedule you might want to supply us with a key so that you won’t have to be home at all. All keys are kept in a lock box and coded with a number only, no names and no addresses; this will insure the security of your home should anything happen to your keys.

When and how should I pay?

Payment is due at the end of each job. Once you’ve had a chance to look around the team leader will make out an invoice and you can pay them at that time. We accept Visa, Master Card, cash and cheques. If you are on a regular schedule and your bill is always the same you can leave a cheque or make arrangements for us to bill your credit card after each visit.

What if I have to cancel or reschedule my appointment?

If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment we request that you do so with at least 48hrs notice so that we have time to give your spot to another customer. Failure to give us 48 hours notice may result in us charging you for the lost time if we are unable to fill your appointment time slot. Our fee for short notice or no notice cancellation is $40 plus GST.

Are your services guaranteed?

Yes, we guarantee our work will meet or beat the industry standard and in the unlikely event that you are not thrilled with our service we will re-clean the problem area as soon as we can, until you are completely satisfied. Please note that our guarantee only covers areas that were originally cleaned by the cleaners. In certain situations it may not include areas that were not cleaned. Also, you must call us within 24hrs if you experience any problems. We do not give refunds or price reductions should you decide to re-clean any areas yourself or clean any areas that were missed.

Purified, Deionized Water FAQ’s

What is purified, deionized water?

De-ionized water is produced by the chemical purification (ion exchange) of water from salts, metals, trace elements and micro-particles using special ‘ion-exchange’ equipment. The result is that de-ionization turns ordinary tap water into the purest water in the world, creating a powerful cleaning agent that leaves surfaces spot free without cleaning chemicals or detergents. This is a scientific fact and not a ‘gimmicky’ or ‘slick’ sales pitch.

Is purified, deionized water better for cleaning windows?

Yes, purified (de-ionized) water cleaning is the latest and greatest in scientific cleaning technology. It has dirt dissolving properties making it unnecessary to use any harsh chemicals or detergents. This cleaning system is completely environmentally friendly at all times. We use telescopic, low pressure, water fed poles instead of ladders for most of our cleaning. This protects your property and makes it much easier and safer for our operators. Unlike ordinary tap water, which has trace amounts of minerals in it, deionized water is ultra-pure and will not leave any streaks, spots, or residues behind.

Why don’t you use a squeegee?

Using squeegees is unnecessary because purified, deionized water has no dissolved solids in it so your windows will dry to a brilliant streak free shine every time. You will actually get a better job by allowing the water left on your windows to evaporate naturally.

Is this system safe for my windows and siding?

Yes, we scrub your windows & siding with a soft brush and then we thoroughly rinse the area clean with pure water allowing it to evaporate naturally. Window tracks are designed to drain out any water that accumulates in them however these drains are easily plugged which could lead to overflow problems. You may find water in some of your window tracks that open until it has had a chance to completely drain and/or evaporate. This only happens if your drains are plugged. You should check each window for interior leaks after we have cleaned them as we are not responsible for any water damage that may have happened.

Do you clean interior windows with purified water?

Yes, we can clean interior windows with purified water. Because we use poles and microfiber pads for this type of window cleaning we usually save this method for those hard to reach windows and interior skylights. We still like to use the traditional way with dish soap and squeegees for most interior and some exterior windows.

Do you clean screens?

Yes, screen cleaning is included in the price.

Will purified water remove paint, varnish etc. from my windows?

No, our system does not remove any spots that require the use of a scraper. We will remove the odd spot if it is within our reach. Paint, glue, varnish and silicone removal is available for an additional charge. We will be pleased to give you a quote.

Is your service guaranteed?

Yes, if you call within 24 hours of your service we will happily re-clean any problem areas. Please note that due to unknown potential problems with the waterproof integrity of any structure we cannot be held liable for any water damage that may happen to your building either interior or exterior whether accidently or otherwise. It is your responsibility to check for any water infiltration that may occur.
